Abstract

The Bible speaks of alcohol as a good gift from God, but that we are not to get drunk. It also speaks of wine in general terms as a bringer of joy. Alcohol was also used for medicinal purposes in Biblical times, too. The Bible teaches that it is ok to drink alcohol as long as we are aware of its effects. It instructs us that the drinking of alcohol is not prohibited but anyone who choose to drink alcohol must do so carefully and moderately.
