Abstract
Bibles, prayer books, calendars, and other religious books have documented spiritual and ecclesial life in the family environment. In addition to the original religious purpose, they contained valuable handwritten notes, including genealogical information about families, where the document had an important cultural and social function. An example of this is the Bible from 1722, preserved in the collections of the Slovak National Library, in which are recorded rare genealogical data of the members of the Milko family.
