Abstract

Prayer is a traditional genre of spiritual literature. At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, it became part of a collection of poems of a secular nature. In a poetic production by Bohuslav Tablic, it is an element of a certain self-reflection, contemplation over life or over universal moral values.
