Abstract


The paper explores the reception of anti-clerical ideas. It is based on variety of sources – historical book collections, lending library inventories, censorship documents and anti-clerical brochures – and presents their being in contemporary discourse. The research unveils their response – the narratives of lecture toxicity and youth endangering.
