Abstract
The article maps the book printing activities of Ján Pavel Royer, a native of Salzburg, in Bratislava in the first half of the 18th century; and the economic, social, political conditions affecting his business activities, family background, municipal support and the dispute with the Academic Printing House in a business manner. It pays special attention to the publication of religious literature in the book printing house’s publishing program, his cooperation with ecclesiastical institutions and councils, which have been the clients and publishers of several of his editions. It especially emphasizes the cooperation with the Order of the Holy Trinity.
