Abstract

The paper deals with the annual school reports published in Slovakia for the school years
1918/19 – 1938/39. It introduces the legislative framework of their publishing, the overview
of individual standards with regard to publishing so-called introductory articles. The
articles are divided into main thematic groups. The teachers published in them several
professional high-quality texts relevant to scientific research and the level of contemporary
knowledge in e. g. social and natural sciences, medicine. To illustrate the thematic
diversity, the paper presents several specific articles published in the annual school reports
during the period considered.
